The Lancaster Performing Arts Center

The Lancaster Performing Arts Center, or LPAC for short, is one of the city's most prominent performing arts facilities. Not only does the venue offer concerts, plays, and sporting events, it is also the largest performing arts center in the Antelope Valley. With its two theaters and multiple performance spaces, the center serves a wide range of audiences. For instance, the Main Stage Proscenium Theatre is home to a variety of local theater groups. This facility also offers several other facilities such as the Nellie & Lou Bozigian Family Theatre, a streamlined black box.

Other notable venues within the complex include the Trust Performing Arts Center, which has been a staple of the downtown arts district since the 1970s. LPAC is actually a part of the larger BLVD Cultural District, which includes several other performing arts facilities, such as the Palm Springs Civic Theatre. Since its inception, the LPAC has received several awards, including Best Small Town Arts Organization, Best Music and Arts Organization, and Best Overall Music and Arts Organization. In addition to its performing arts offerings, the center has hosted numerous events that are aimed at fostering creativity and boosting the local economy, such as the Lancaster Academy for Performing Arts, the region's premier musical institution.

The Lancaster Performing Arts Center is also one of the only places in the area where you can catch the Broadway show Charlie and the Chocolate Factory live on stage. While the show's run time is rather limited, it is still a worthwhile investment for the diehard fan of the popular classic. Aside from the theater, LPAC offers several other amenities, such as the A+ Cafe, a concession stand, and a parking lot. There is also a convenient metro station located just a few blocks away from the Performing Arts Center.

In addition to its performances, the Lancaster Performing Arts Center offers its patrons several other amenities, such as a souvenir shop and sponsorship options. You can even rent out the theater's Main Stage Proscenium for a wedding or business function. To top it all off, LPAC offers a fantastic view of the surrounding Lancaster neighborhood. The center is currently celebrating its 31st season, which is a milestone in its own right.
